About us

Coffee is simple. And that's exactly what makes it so special.

Good Mood Coffee was born from three convictions: a deep love for coffee, my belief that coffee can be greener and fairer — for the farmer and the environment — and the idea that a good cup of coffee is a ritual that helps you ground yourself in your day.

How it started

In 2018, I fell in love with coffee for the first time. Not with the caffeine, but with the incredible world hidden behind such a simple product. How a few degrees of water temperature can completely transform a cup. How the altitude of the plantation determines the flavour profile. How two beans from the same country can taste worlds apart. That simplicity that endlessly keeps surprising — that's what has never let me go since.

The core of our range: Brazil & Sri Lanka

The foundation of Good Mood Coffee comes from two countries I chose for good reason.

Brazil is the backbone of our range. It is the country that keeps the world of coffee turning — and not without reason. Brazilian beans bring that warm, nutty sweetness that makes a cup of coffee approachable without being shallow. You taste caramel, hazelnut, milk chocolate. A solid foundation that makes the difference in both the filter cup and the espresso.

Sri Lanka adds the depth. The beans from this island — with its rich soil and varied climate zones — give our espresso blend the spicy, slightly earthy undertone that completes a blend. That subtle complexity ensures that every sip has just a little more to offer than you expect.

Together, Brazil and Sri Lanka form the foundation of what Good Mood Coffee is: approachable but never boring, honest but never simple. Every month I add a rotating origin through the Monthly Special — for those curious about what else there is to discover in the world of coffee.

Sustainability as a foundation

I believe the coffee industry can do better. For the farmers who pick the harvest with their hands, and for the environment that enables them to do so. My coffee is roasted by Special Roast in Amersfoort — a roastery that doesn't treat sustainability as a marketing term, but as an integral part of their supply chain.

From caring for farming families and fair purchasing to circular packaging and reusing jute bags: at Special Roast, responsibility runs through the entire chain. That fits perfectly with what Good Mood Coffee stands for.

Coffee as ritual

In a world that keeps moving faster and harder, a good cup of coffee is a moment to pause. Whether you carefully tamp your espresso, patiently wait for your filter coffee to drip, or take the first sip while the morning is still quiet — that moment is yours.

I take care of the coffee. The rest is up to you.
